My Journey

Hey, I'm Phil Smith. 

My passion for fitness started with an inspiring PE teacher who showed me how the right encouragement can completely transform someone's relationship with exercise. When a gym job came up in 2006, I jumped at it and never looked back.

Perth Life

In 2023, my family and I moved from England to Perth for that incredible Australian outdoor lifestyle. 

As a dad of two young kids, I understand how busy life gets and how hard it can be to prioritise your health. 

These aren't just professional insights - they're lived experiences that help me relate to what you're going through.

Real Results

Over 19 years, I've trained hundreds of clients from all backgrounds. One transformation that stands out is Neil, who lost 18kg of body fat while gaining 8kg of muscle. Most clients start seeing genuine changes within 12 weeks - not through magic, but through consistency and realistic programs that fit their actual lives.

My Approach

I believe fitness should be honest, approachable, and sustainable. I'm not here to sell fantasy transformations or make unrealistic promises. Instead, we'll have an open conversation about your goals and barriers, then create a plan that actually works.

You'll never face judgment from me. I've trained people of all ages and fitness levels. I hold qualifications in personal training and nutrition, plus some decent personal achievements (150kg bench press, marathons, obstacle races), but what I'm most proud of are my clients' transformations.

I offer training at Arena Joondalup, my home garage gym, or I can come to you. The location doesn't matter - it's about creating an environment where you feel supported and can succeed.
